Memorial Day Rose

If scent has the power to evoke memories, then Rosa 'Memorial Day' is the perfect rose to honor and celebrate the memory of a loved one. This hybrid tea rose is renowned for its strong damask rose fragrance and large, full, spiraled orchid-pink blooms, which can grow up to 5 inches in diameter and hold up to 50 petals. Resilient, robust, and disease-resistant, the ‘Memorial Day’ hybrid tea rose leaves a lasting impression in both the garden and floral arrangements. A single bloom can fill an entire room with its rich, old-rose fragrance.

Memorial Day rose is a medium-tall, upright, bushy shrub with large, semi-glossy, rich green leaves. Its old-fashioned pink flowers, touched with a hint of lavender, bloom on long, nearly thornless stems. The flowers appear in flushes from late spring through fall. Introduced in 2004, ‘Memorial Day’ hybrid rose is also known as ‘Heaven Scent’, ‘Millie Rose’, and ‘Parfum de Liberte’.

Hybrid tea roses feature long, sturdy stems topped with a single, large bloom that has a classic, elegant shape, making them perfect for floral arrangements.
